Habecker Mennonite Church

Habecker Mennonite Church is a family church with a global spirit.  Grounded in  Anabaptist core values as expressed by the Lancaster Mennonite Conference, we seek to be a witness for peace and hospitality.  We promote Christian community, service and reconciliation in congregational life and in the world.

We are an open-minded, seeking church on a missional journey to discover how our God-given gifts connect with the needs around us.  We are alert to God’s work in and through us as we become more fully a part of God’s story… a story of reconciliation, restoration and transformation.  Our current missional challenge is, “To develope a culture of relational hospitality within the congregation and to expand that culture into the community.”

Engaged in intercultural respect, the congregation continues to welcome people from Burma/Myanmar.  Services are held in two languages, with singing in several languages at one time.  Once a month, the people from Burma, who had been refugees in Thailand for decades, plan and lead the worship service in the Karen language.  Come visit us and delight with us in joy and anticipation of how God may be calling us to be more of what God has already created us to be.
